Temporary pause on mortgage applications to improve our service

From 5pm on Friday 19th August 2022, we temporarily withdrew all mortgage products available on our website to our intermediary partners. 

Due to increasing demand for our specialist mortgage offering, we are receiving a continuously high volume of mortgage applications. This increasing volume of applications has impacted our service levels, which our dedicated Intermediary Support Team have been working to reduce.

To ensure our dedicated team the ability to continue to effectively underwrite and assess each application received, we have made the decision to pause new business. Don't worry though, we will be back once we are able to return to our usual service levels.

Kieron Blackburn, Commercial Director at the Society, commented “We regard this pause on new business as a temporary measure. As soon as we’re confident that we can return to providing the service that our partners expect we’ll return to the market.”

We are aware that some of you have experienced delays regarding your applications, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please be assured that this is a temporary action to restore our high levels of service.

If you have an ongoing application with the Society, please note that the application must be fully packaged two weeks following the withdrawal of the product. Details of deadlines for withdrawn products can be found in the table below.

Please note: The SVR rate product (19001) available on our Intermediary Portal is available for existing cases only to allow full applications to be submitted on our system. If you submit a new case on this product we will be unable to accept it.
