Peter has a prolific career within regulated organisations, serving in both Executive and Non-Executive roles. Currently a Non-Executive Chair at Co-op Insurance and previously Group Chief Executive at UK General Insurance. Peter also has previously experience working for TSB in e-commerce and strategy roles. Peter brings to the Board experience in regulated sectors for both insurance and financial services as well as a strong background in leadership.

Nicole is a qualified chartered accountant with over 20 years’ global financial services experience, including serving as Chief Finance Officer at Bank and Clients PLC, Chief Financial Accountant at the Bank of England and senior finance roles at Société Générale.

Nicole has extensive experience in delivering, implementing, and communicating business strategy as well as developing culture and governance. Additionally, she is passionate about people and has often taken the lead in defining and embedding organisational values, employee communications and people engagement strategies.

She is now a portfolio non-executive director, senior independent director, and chair of audit for a range of financial services businesses and charities

As a former management consultant – latterly as a Partner at EY – Tariq has advised senior management teams in the financial services industry for over 20 years on corporate, marketing and digital strategy, operations optimisation and risk analytics. He now runs a boutique AI / Machine Learning consultancy. Tariq holds a PhD in Physics and an MSc in Machine Learning. He brings to the Board considerable FS sector experience in a range of functional disciplines – in particular in the applied use of advanced analytics to improve performance.

Mike brings a deep understanding and experience in Risk Management and has been appointed as Chair of the Risk Committee. Mike has over 40 years experience in Financial Services, the last 15 years as a Chief Risk Officer. He currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer at Cambridge and Counties Bank Ltd. This is the latest appointment that is supporting the ambitious growth plans of the Society.

James has a strong background in the mutual sector, including savings and mortgages, having worked in a number of senior roles at Coventry Building Society. He joins us from Secure Trust Bank where he was Director of Banking and Marketing for over five years. James is an advocate for community and charity initiatives and was inspired to set up a charity with his wife which is dedicated to providing mental health support for new mums. Having lived locally to the Society and in the wider West Midlands, James is looking forward to leading Dudley Building Society.
