How do I open my savings account?

You may open this account via the online service, at any of our branches or via post. If you would like to open this account via post, please download and complete the application form and return it to us. The application form can be found here

How do I operate my account?

Any queries regarding your account can be dealt with via branch, email or telephone. Instructions on your account are required in person, at branch or in writing.

What is my maximum investment?

Can I withdraw money?

You can withdraw your money at any time, but must give 30 days’ notice to avoid an interest penalty. If you do not give 30 days’ notice for withdrawals, there will be an interest penalty of 30 days’ on the amount withdrawn. If you have insufficient accrued interest to cover the penalty due, the remaining amount will be deducted from your account balance on closing your account or when interest is next due to be added to it.

You may make a withdrawal in person at a branch or in writing.

Additional Information

Additional investments are permitted.

If you give notice to withdraw money from your account, you will have 7 days to withdraw the requested amount once your notice expires. If you do not make a withdrawal within 7 days, you will be required to give 30 days’ notice again or pay the 30 day interest penalty for instant access to your funds.

A corporate body is able to enter in its’ own right into legal agreements and can often be identified by ‘Ltd’, ‘Plc’ or ‘Incorporated’ being included in the company title. If the company is a corporate body, it will have registered by a legal process, for example with Companies House. Account holders do not have membership or voting rights.
