Dudley Building Society launches Community Support Fund for 2018

29th October 2018

On Thursday 1st November, Dudley Building Society launches its Community Support Fund. The fund is aimed at helping small projects and charities in the communities in which it serves.

Due to the success of the Community Support Fund in recent years, the Society is offering two donations of £1,600 and five donations of £160, as part of the Society’s 160th birthday celebrations. The communities around its branches have been instrumental to the Society’s enduring success. Members have been able to save and own their own homes with us since 1858.

The Community Support Fund is the Society’s way of demonstrating gratitude for the ongoing support it has received. It provides an opportunity for the Dudley to form a long lasting relationship with the chosen applicants and support each other the next twelve months.

Jeremy Wood, Chief Executive of Dudley Building Society comments

“In our 160th year, we have taken a fresh look at our Community Support Fund and following a successful mid year performance, we are hoping to develop stronger, ongoing links in the community. As a mutual organisation, it is imperative we support others whether it is through education, fundraising or volunteering. We want to ensure we are still adding value to our communities and continue to make a difference”

The deadline for applications is 5.00pm on Friday 30th November 2018. Anyone wishing to apply for the fund can download an application form by visiting www.dudleybuildingsociety.co.uk/community or by emailing marketing@dudleybuildingsociety.co.uk
