Empowering Society employees to give back to causes they are passionate about.
The Society is passionate about giving back to our communities and encourages employees to take one day per year to volunteer in our local community. However, now more than ever, our communities need extra help and it was agreed to allow all employees up to five days paid time off, to volunteer during the pandemic.
We like to celebrate our employees who are actively using their own time to volunteer during the current crisis and make a positive difference. As examples, Lauren, a member of our Risk Tam, has so far volunteered a total of 70 hours for the NHS Volunteer Service and Customer Service Advisor, Nav, has also been volunteering for the Check in and Chat scheme, where she has been lifting the spirits of elderly and often lonely individuals.
In support of mental health charity, Mind, Dudley Building Society employees took part in their 100 Miles in May challenge! Together we raised an amazing £523, so we'd like to say a big thank you to everybody who participated and donated.
