Plentiful Local Support as Dudley Building Society Lifts The Curtain On Perton     Carl Fletcher, Office Manager at Dudley Building Society's new Perton branch welcomes the first customer, Angela Woolley from Pattingham, through the doors.

Keen customers in Perton gave staff at their brand new Dudley Building Society branch a warm welcome when it opened for business on 10th September.

A queue of enthusiastic new members formed early to help the staff settle in - as well as to take advantage of the special giveaways on offer at the Dudley's first brand new branch to open in more than 30 years.

The first customers could qualify for Marks and Spencer vouchers and they were soon snapped up as the Perton community greeted the new team at the Dudley.

Carl Fletcher, Office Manager at Perton, said:

"We have received a wonderful welcome from the people of Perton and the surrounding area. We opened more than fifty new accounts in the first morning and had more than a hundred people through the door in the first six hours, so we were kept busy! The new facilities are bright, spacious and customer friendly and we have the added advantage of having recruited two new members of staff who previously worked here for the Portman. Sheila and Kim are familiar faces to local people and we hope that element of continuity will help customers to feel at home right away."
