Dudley Building Society’s Chief Executive has today added his support to the Government’s announcement that new homes are planned as part of the Black Country’s Garden City developments.
The Building Society, which has been helping local people to buy their homes for over 150 years, has encouraged Government as well as developers to engage with local building societies - the Black Country is particularly well served – to help more people onto the housing ladder.
Chief Executive Jeremy Wood said, ‘I was very pleased to read about the new Garden City developments to be introduced across the Black Country. The Black Country is our heartland and we are delighted that our region is to receive such a large amount of support’.
Jeremy has recently been quite vocal in inviting Housing Minister Gavin Barwell to adopt a broader market policy to ensure the volumes of houses that are planned are able to attract suitable finance; Government Must Avoid Another Groundhog Day for Housing .
