Remember a Charity In Your Will Week

Remember a Charity In Your Will Week

1st September 2016

Remember a Charity in your Will Week is a national campaign, organised by Remember a Charity, that runs from 7th – 13th September 2015. The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to think about leaving a legacy to charity in their Will.

The theme for this year’s Remember a Charity in Your Will Week is Extreme Will Writing and is showcasing those that go the extra mile for charity, whilst explaining that everyone can be a legend by including a gift to charity in their Will.

Remember a Charity in Your Will Week is an opportunity to ensure that your Will is up to date and reflects your current circumstances, whilst recognising the opportunity and the importance of leaving a legacy in your Will.

Legacy income is a welcome lifeline to most charities and is currently worth over £2 billion a year. If the sector grows by just 4%, we could raise an extra £1 billion for UK Charities.* The only way a charity can benefit from an estate is if they are named in a Will.

To support the campaign we have partnered up with The Will Writing Company, part of the Estate Planning Group, where our designated Estate Planning Consultants will be on hand in our branches to sit down and have a chat, offering advice on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and much more during the week.

With Dudley Building Society Members entitled to a Members Rate Will*, this is a great time for you to be thinking about creating or updating your estate planning.

Visit one of our branches during 7th to 13th September 2015 to take advantage of this opportunity and support a charity of your choice.
