DUDLEY BUILDING SOCIETY’S SPEEDWAY SAVER ACCOUNT HELPS HEATHENS RACE AHEAD

Speedway Saver

Dudley Building Society has improved its sponsorship arrangement with Dudley Heathens Speedway through its new Speedway Saver savings account.

The Dudley – which has supported the Heathens since the club reformed in 2009 – has introduced the Speedway Saver as a way of enabling fans and local people to help boost the Heathens’ coffers.

Savers who open an account will not only benefit from the convenience and assurance of saving with their local Dudley Building Society, they will also be helping to generate extra funds for the future of the Heathens.

Thanks to the Dudley’s commitment to pledge a further donation based on the amount saved, the more Heathens’ followers save, the more money the club can earn. And as a further incentive, each account opened qualifies for a £10 voucher to be spent on official Heathens merchandise.

Heathens riders Daryl Ritchings and Brendan Rogers joined team manager Will Pottinger at the Dudley’s principal branch in Stone Street to promote the account – complete with bikes in the banking hall.

Linda Beddall, Dudley Branch Manager, said the Speedway Saver account is an ideal way for the Society to show its support for a famous local name:

“The Heathens are part of local folklore and everybody was pleased when they started to race again. Dudley Building Society’s commitment to the local community is an important part of our philosophy – to support the people that support us. The Speedway Saver offers everybody involved the chance to do their bit to help.

Dudley Heathens Team Manager Will Pottinger commented:

“Dudley Building Society’s support has helped the Heathens to bring speedway back to Dudley and the club is grateful for that. To have a savings account that offers us extra potential is different and exciting and I would encourage anybody who has affection for the Heathens to open an account. For Heathens fanatics the account is a perfect way to start saving for the Speedway GP at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on August 25th 2012!”
